A few names have come to my attention on the transfer wire that I would watch for PSU to get involved with. Again, more information will come out in the coming days&weeks. More information will come:
1) Savon Goodman: Goodman is Orginally a Philly product from Constitution high school. Goodman is a graduate transfer and is eligible next year. I view this as a low risk/high reward (depending on what he wants to study next). He avreged double figuries that last two years at ASU. Very atheltic and loves to attack the basket. He is a good rebounder, but only a avrege defender. Would make a lot of sesne do the staff to inquire. It doesn't tie up a scholarship for to long and can help us right away and take the pressure of the big guys, specifically Lamar.
2) Dwayne Morgan: From Baltimore and played the last two years at UNLV. I think he got a raw deal at UNLV, a lot more talented than given a chance. I like his game, even back in high school. Six foot seven wingman who can run and jump. Has some pretty good ball skills and mid-range game. Orginally Dwayne was a top 50 recruit. Maryland might have some Interest. I view him as a "pie in the sky" recruit, but an interesting name.
3) Evan Maxwell. A six foot ten center who is transferring for Liberty University, who played high school at Abington Height. Avreged 10&6 last year. He has good lift, decently mobile, and some offensive skills. Rebounding is a little concern, but I think he is better at rebounding than givin credit for. I view this as a low risk/high reward situation. Evan will have to years lfet and provides a very good insurance policy for Watkins incase of injury or academic issuies. This is the type of big man that can give you a solid two years as a back up or starter if you see fit. One last thing about Maxwell is that he has gotten better each year, very important.
Few more names will come out in the coming days and weeks.
