FINAL DRIVE FILM STUDY vs. MINNESOTA

See link above. Survive and Advance, yes, but this thing was held together with scotch tape and chewed up bubble gum to escape with the win. Not the rah-rah video you might expect, though it has its moments. Codutti highlights glaring warts on the OL that still exist in late November, including multiple missed assignments and guys just not coming up big in big moments (Shelton tripping, for example). At this point, especially with this the Donkoh injury, I think this unit is what it is.

Love this. Thank you. Great play call on the pass to Warren. At that point, fourth down, you might as well pass because the clock will stop with a change of possession anyway. Play action as MN was 100% committed to stopping the run the entire drive and in short yardage, had to respect the run first. Warren really sells it.

Looks like Dinkins was supposed to pick up the DE that Warren chips and then releases as he runs the route. Dinkins moves inside but because Allar moves a little to his right, the DE goes with Allar and Dinkins is out of position to make that block.

At this point in the game, PSU had shown all we've got in terms of the running game. Nobody was going to be fooled. It was man on man. And it is so tough as MN had 7 or 8 in the box on every play. We missed several assignments but the fourth down conversions won the game.

So will they be talking about this as "The Drive II" 30 years from now? I think it depends on how the rest of the year goes and how far we run into the playoffs.
