SINGLETON FILM STUDY

See Link. Interesting video focusing on Singleton's football IQ and how he matured as the season went on, learned to trust his eyes and trust his blockers instead of bouncing everything and trying to outrace every defender to the edge. In fact, the first clip Codutti shows shows Singleton going for like 50 yards but completely coloring outside the lines to do it. I'm not sure Seider gets enough credit for how quickly Singleton "figured it out" last season considering his high school offense was nothing like Penn State's run scheme. Also, it had to help that Singleton got to spend time on the sideline watching Kaytron run. Kaytron felt like a veteran in September with the way he ran.

Singleton was a different guy starting in the Minnesota game...in a good way. What's impressive is how there's no wasted movements in his runs. Feels like 7-8 yards a carry average is within reach for him this season.

Sidebar: this is the kind of stuff our multiple versions of NIL collectives should have been attached to since the beginning! Get the word out! Put it in fans faces! Push the issue. Glad to see it finally being promoted. Long overdue

Interview on Keystone Sports Network where Codutti goes a little know in-depth on the Singleton Film Study. Kind of interesting some of the visual tactics (and audio,I guess) they use to teach RBs how to lock on to their reads, stay on the run path, and be patient.
