PSU vs. MD FILM STUDY

See Link. We could have made this video 20 minutes long. Ton left on the cutting room floor. Could just be the level of competition the last two weeks, but it seems that the DL and LB are finally in sync when it comes to blitzes and the other exotic things Manny Diaz brings to the table...first couple weeks we kept seeing guys color outside the lines and run up each other's backs and essentially block themselves (ton of that vs. Purdue). Not so much anymore. Like Coach said, this is all a dance and it seems defenders are starting to master the steps. NY6 or not, it'll be interesting to see what this end of season defense does against a quality opponent....even with the expected bowl opt outs (JPJ, anyone else?)

First play, 74 from UM was supposed to get the LB but left him unblocked so PSU had two linebackers to deal with the pulling guard.

Second play - meant to be a quick pass but we jumped the pick play which gave our 5 guys time to get home versus 5 blockers.

Third play - great rush by the ends, great pass coverage - no one open. Bad job by the running back.

Swing pass/screen play - good job by the linebackers keeping themselves clean in space and not wrapped up with that wide receiver. Carter does engage him but keeps outside leverage.
