While I've been back to many FB games since relocating to metro-DC via the AF in 88, I have never seen the wrestling team live since I graduated a looooooooong time ago. I have followed the team and this board closely for some time and will be in College Park on Sunday. Certainly this isn't a "test," but I plan to arrive early to get a prime seat.

Thanks to the board, I know Devin has been giving it all he has as an undersized 125, but is this the weekend we see Kuhn in action?

Many thanks to everyone here for providing great information and insight often lacking from the "sports pages."

The Coaches Radio Show tonight included discussion about Carson Kuhn. It's good listening, as Nick Lee was the guest after Cael, and I think you all would enjoy his comments. The final guest was Rick Kaluza, who is an Asst. AD with wrestling and lacrosse ties.

Paraphrasing...Carson has not yet certified, and given the late date, he'll have to be close to weight (125), and hydrated before certifying. Cael mentioned that it's possible that he goes Friday, but it was more a passing comment, and he also said it's not likely. Sunday is definitely out if he's not certified by Friday.

Thanks Roar!

when the day comes and assuming Casey, Cody and Cael are still together at PSU do other schools dare recruit their kids like schools did with Nelson Brands?

What are the rules on tuition discounts for children of coaches?

I guess I can look in Larry’s 3” binder

For a 10+ year employee they get 75% off for tuition for 8 semesters. However, I don;t think it covers room and board at all. HockeyGod would know better than I would.

Does not cover room and board. If there kids are elite recruits, the 75% reduction in tuition is a huge help with the 9.9 scholarship limit.

...and 5-10 years is 4 semesters, with <5 years being 2 semesters. Must be full-time employment.

Unless something has changed, I believe the years of employment only matter if the faculty/staff member becomes deceased. Full-time employees dependents receive the 75% discount during their entire undergraduate degree.
