Let me see if I "get it"...
We have people with less than a 5th grade understanding of the world some 2000-2500 years ago write down "stories" about themselves, for their own tribe and then call themselves "Gods Chosen". Well, if there is a deity, why would he have a favorite? Or, is it more likely leaders 2000-2500 years did and said the only things they could to keep their people in line?
Now, we have the so-called "new covenant". You know, the one where this deity prefers "virgin" women over non-virgin women b/c of something called "purity". Oh, did I mention these people writing things down were men? Can't forget that, btw. Very important. One must know who is wearing the googles.
Then, this so-called "messiah" doesn't write anything down. He waits, like 30+ years to start saving people, knows he is going to die and doesn't write a damn thing down. Nada. Nothing. Not even scribble.
Guess I'll remain a Humanist. I suggest the rest of you to do the same. Religion must end - ALL religion! If you truly desire peace, that is. Then again, religious people know war too well. Peace is too new for religious people to understand. The future of religion is astrology's present - nothing more than an antiquated way of understanding.
