Perhaps a little lost in all the celebration of the team championship; Zain's dominance and consistency for four years (3 titles; 93 victories in a row); Nolf's super-human efforts on one leg; and Nickal's Houdini act to clinch it all is Joseph's absolutely clutch and cool (ice-in-the-veins) performance to obtain his second national championship.

To put things in proper perspective, IMar is a two-time National Champ and four-time NCAA finalist who only lost three times in his entire career (all to Penn State guys). Joseph, however, has beaten him when it most matters and done so convincingly both times, despite losing to him previously on three occasions. That is impressive. Joseph was an underdog again in the finals and figured a way again to bring home the title. He also beat Isaiah White en route, and had never beaten him previously in high school.

Next year, there will still be lots of competition: Wick (who finished third and performed very well); Marsteller (4th place finish), along with AA's McFadden and Marinelli, among others.

For now, Joseph is both an amazing combination of fire (passion; risk; upper body throws) and ice (calm, cool, confident).

Here is the finals match if you might want to see it again:

Could not agree more. In a lot of ways, Joseph gave the most impressive performance of the evening.

Cenzo was astounding. I felt a little shaky given the way he was thrown to his back by some guys late in the season. I thought IMar might win a very tight, one point match. Boy am I glad I was wrong! Cenzo was just so cool and collected, yet very aggressive in the first as well. Absolutely incredible!!!
