i don't see any reason to believe he can improve the Eagles next year. He is digging a big whole for this team with bad personnel decisions. Better get it over with now and start the rebuilding process over. The faced paced offense only works if you can score. If not you're just hurting your defense. The "Chip experiment" isn't working.

It is time to blow it up. He is a horrible GM and brings nothing to the table as HC/OC. His offense was a gimmick and it does not work in the NFL. All he had going for him was up tempo and the league has caught up.

Not that I don't agree w/ his firing of Reid, but Chip's success were w/ Reid's players. He stinks as a GM, and he and his coaches stink on basic fundamentals. Lurie won't fire him, but he's a disgrace too......turns his franchise into a joke, and on a side note, rapes Temple financially for playing at that horse track of a turf/stadium.

So long as the NFL refuses to do something about the "injury" stoppages, his O cannot work in the NFL. A simple change in the rules mandating that a player who causes a stoppage cannot return until after his own team has possessed the ball for one play after said "injury" would serve to slow up some of the BS. Of course, coaches would simply send in some flunky to play dead when Eagles MO was on the go... rather than risk losing a first team defender. Even so, it would be something. In short, i don't see an up-tempo offense like chippie wants to run winning consistently in the NFL.

For me, he's gone. They want to take Lurie and company along with him, all the better. That said, we'd just get another wanna-be-a-bigshot retard owner and it'd be 'here we go again.'

really this has nothing to do why his offense gets stopped. It has more to do with the line play, the receivers not making catches when the ball is between their numbers, and running backs that just drop the football. The Eagles are the biggest reason their offense slows, no one else.

did they pick up a single blitz in the second half?- I know they hadn't when I turned it off at the half

Andy is 10-5. Time's yours.

I think most coaches in the NFL have a shelf life. It is probably longer now than before because there is more player movement. The message gets stale and players need a change. That said the NFL ultimately comes back to effective QB play.

For Chip to survive he first has to admit that he isn't the smartest guy on the sidelines. You have to adjust your plan to whatever is working. Even bad NFL teams have good players. To win you have to execute and have discipline.

I agree totally on the OL. But, who has the "arrogance" to think letting two starter go (one all pro) and then replace them with low-level free agents is a good thing? Well, for Chip it's ALL about the system. So it's not talent ???
His problem is he "knows all". " I'll show those NFL guys a thing or two".

Chip has vowed to win the last game (much like last year) of the season. This is a BIG game!! If we win we will qualify for the ...... oops :)
Actually, it would be the "bonehead coach of the year award".

Lurie is in tough spot having committed all to Kelly. Lurie's best move would be to hire a Director of Football Operations, a GM, to oversee all personnel moves. Something the 76'ers recently did. If Kelly is unhappy he can leave most probably negating any balance due on his contract. There are many NFL coordinators hoping for a head coaching spot; maybe you get lucky. Kelly got rid of his play makers because they didn't fit his culture.

while I would try to win this game, it would be with a different set of people, the third QB would start, time to find out if he can play. Jason Peters would sit, Kiko Alonzo, would play the whole game, time to find if he play. I'll think of some more, etc

doesn't Laurie already have one in place in Howie?? He's doing something.

I find it hard to believe that the NFL would make a new rule that essentially encourages injured players to stay in the game. And also, injured defenders isn't even in the top 10 reasons Chip's offense has failed

LOL! I'll never forget Buddy. He was a joy to listen to. He had some great defenses!
He also never won a playoff game for the Eagles. Yet, he is loved and Andy Reid is reviled by the fan base. Yeah, he lost NFC titles games and he lost a Super Bowl, but he also got to those games, something Buddy never could do with the Eagles.

too much fog, on the field and in Randall's head.

Chip is a very good college coach but is not a nFL general manager and good evaluator of talent and money. Eagles are a wreck with a ton of issues and a ton of money committed to players that are not earning and that is all Chips's moves. Laurie should take the GM role from him and most likely Chip negotiates a reasonable buyout.

i'm not disagreeing on this at all. clearly, the fake injury issue is just one thing in a multitude of other "things." but whenever that team seemed to have itself in gear and was clicking down the field and had the other team on its heels... you knew the BS was coming. almost always, the momentum went adios and the D stopped them (or so it seemed). now, if this team could execute, they probably overcome that kind of thing.

Personally, i'm just sick and tired of the fake injury crap.. whether it affects the birds or anyone else. Always thought FB was supposed to be a man's game.

esp when one of those guys with an injury was fat ass Chris Baker. Joe kicked off a first round draft choice for being fat, drunk, and stupid. Of course Joe did have a culture problem.

Wait till they come out of the gate 0-4 or 1-3 next season. They'll jettison Kelly by Oct 1 and then you'll have a real circus on your hands. Interim coach, another disaster season, and waiting to see who else sucks next year to start romancing those coaches after they're fired. In other words, it's going to get worse.

I am thinking, we will know what they are doing with Chip with the signing/non signing of Sam Bradford. If they are staying with Chip, I think that will be signaled by Bradford signing a long term deal. If they are changing HC's, they may put Bradford on hold, and let the new HC make that decision. The new HC may want to keep him, or he may want to start over, and draft a QB. But I think that will be the real signal of Chips tenure.

actually he was 130-93-1

0 Super Bowls and he will never win a SB. It was time to move on. Even KC fans were talking about firing him early in the year. Maybe the Saints and Colts should have kept Jim Mora and his zERO playoff wins. No. They moved on and both won Super Bowls.

Hate to break it to you, but Chip isn't winning a Super Bowl

Andy is 30-17 in KC and in the playoffs again. Gotta be in it to win it.

Any Eagles fan lambasting Andy Reid is exhibiting moronic bahavior. No other Eagles head coach since the early 60s can touch what Reid accomplished in Eagles green.

Bradford's a bit of a conundrum now. He wants big money, yet his play this season wasn't consistently commensurate with that kind of money.

Will his camp settle for a short-term deal at around $10 million per year? I don't see the Eagles doling out more than that with bigger long-term questions in play. Perhaps some other team (Cleveland???) in need of a QB will offer more.
