Dear Lord. Then don’t be that guy.Hate to be that guy, but it sure looked like the refs didn’t want the caps to go back to Pitt down 2-0. Not saying it was fixed...just a very poorly officiated game.

Dear Lord, you’re still here. Thought you might be circle jerking to the thought of the fast approaching roaring 20’s.Dear Lord. Then don’t be that guy.
It’ll be nice to get both 71 and 62 back as well if for no other reason than resetting all of their lines. Who suits if Dumo can’t? Hunwick?Murray's very vulnerable high glove--this has been the case for 3 post-seasons now. The Pens are usually good enough to overcome it but they have to play better defense. Letang is constantly out of position. Kessel is playing with a fourth line center and an AHL winger (Simon) so it isn't shocking that he's not producing. He has no room. Pens need to play better. They didn't get any calls of bounces tonight but that's hockey. Tuesday can't het here soon enough. Hope Dumo is okay.

Dumo's fault on the third goal. He went to the bench leaving no one back. Letang had his guy. Pens were sloppy this game. They got away with it last game. Need some production aside from Crosby line. Hopefully, Malkin is back, but need a few from lines three and four like last year.Murray's very vulnerable high glove--this has been the case for 3 post-seasons now. Also some bad luck. On first goal, Hornqvist passed it right to Ovie, although he was out of position on a bad read by Dumo, leaving Hornqvist back to cover and out of position. Know you have a hate on for Letang, but Dumo was terrible this game before he got hurt.
Have not seen any of the first two games in this match-up, but all-in-all would think Pitt fans would be happy splitting the two games on Wash’s home ice.
How could the viscous elbow hit to the head of Doumalin not be called a penalty?
I think 71 was close to going today, but they tried to squeeze 2 more days of rest. Not necessarily a bad call - they already knew they at least had the split in DC. That said, they’ll need BOTH back to ultimately win the series. It would have to be Hunwick...sadly
Kessel needs some help...I think Geno will go...I have no clue about Hagelin

Wilson is a punk...the best way to handle him is to treat him like the trash he is and take him out.Hard to believe that wasn't called. Wilson left his feet and intentionally shouldered him in the side of the head. He should get one game suspension in light of the one Doughty got in the first round against Vegas. Then again, Wilson did not get a suspension for his hit on Wennberg that resulted in a charging minor in the first round against Columbus. According to the league, Wilson avoided supplemental discipline because DoPS “could not determine whether or not Wennberg’s head was the main point of contact.” I just watched the replay and I could tell that Wennberg's head was the main point of contact. Here is the vid.
How could the viscous elbow hit to the head of Doumalin not be called a penalty? Same with the trip of Guentzel. Did the rules change at 2 pm this afternoon?

Here we go again. Every time the Penguins or Steelers lose it's because of a vast league-wide conspiracy.
There must be something in the water in Western PA.
Seriously, can you read? Here we go again. Every time the Penguins or Steelers lose it's because of a vast league-wide conspiracy.

This is true; however, I apologize if that is how my post appeared. As I said, I didn’t blame the refs...just pointed out how awful they were.Anytime any team loses it’s a league-wide conspiracy according to that team’s fans. Penn State fans may well be at the top of that list.

No, they changed when the playoffs started. Happens every year. Look for a tighter game 3.How could the viscous elbow hit to the head of Doumalin not be called a penalty? Same with the trip of Guentzel. Did the rules change at 2 pm this afternoon?
Probably a goal. Understandable how not called so on ice. Some ambiguity in video review. Stands but not confirmed. The Pens got screwed on the no-goal call in the 3rd period. Granted, many views showed nothing, but the zoomed-in shot of Holtby's pad showed that the puck clearly crossed the goal line.
Willie will get a game for the shoulder but disagree about the jump. If he does not, it will be because of questions of avoidabikity given the close backchecking.Hard to believe that wasn't called. Didn't see the game, but this type of thing happens often enough in hockey, especially in big games and series to seriously question the league's integrity. It's almost like they need to give out a mini Stanley Cup to the teams that get screwed for seemingly unqualified officiating or some other ulterior league motive. How could the viscous elbow hit to the head of Doumalin not be called a penalty? Caps fan here. Looked like a goal on replay. I didn’t watch the game, I refuse to watch another caps implosion.
They sound like Flyers Fans now - remember the tripping no call in the last Flyers game? Fans are fans and ripping one group or the other makes you look stupid when you turn around and say the exact same thing you ripped others for.Pens fans Friday: we're so in the caps' heads! It's the greatest!
Pens fans Sunday: the league is out to get us. It's a conspiracy.
Except they can't use that angle when it's that close. Therefore inconclusive.
Pretty sure Kessel is dinged up a little, I'd be stunned if Geno didn't play tomorrow night (just surprised he didn't play yesterday), and I wouldn't expect to hear anything on Hagelin this series - slight chance if they make it through to the next round. It would have to be Hunwick...sadly

Kessel May be dinged, but I think his production has more to do with who he’s playing with than how hurt he may (or may not) be.Pretty sure Kessel is dinged up a little, I'd be stunned if Geno didn't play tomorrow night (just surprised he didn't play yesterday), and I wouldn't expect to hear anything on Hagelin this series - slight chance if they make it through to the next round.
