I have been to many games, but first time staying over in Happy Valley. We are probably walking or taking a shuttle from the hotel. Where is a good place to hang before the game? Are there any public tailgate spots? We plan on heading into town after the game, but still not sure what to do before the game. Any help appreciated...ty

I discovered just this year that apparently THE tailgate "place to be" is @step.eng69's buddy Don's tailgate (but good luck with that if you're not on the email distribution list).

In all seriousness, planning a tailgate without a pre-established parking spot destination is difficult at best this year. Maybe consider one of downtown's fine establishments or the NLI.

Head to the Endzone. They have a free beer tent in back. Good times.

Is Chumley's still around? Heard that was a fun place.:D Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I heard some Pitt douche is doing a radio show at 8AM from Primanti's.

I don’t want to start anything, far be it from me to do that. ;) However, I was never so disappointed as I was when I visited Primantis years ago for my first time. The sandwich was mediocre from the bread, to the meat, to the slaw, to the fries.

They can’t touch a good New York deli or one of those pork and broccoli deals at Reading Terminal in Philly.
