despite what I think was a local compromise of my stream during the last match:

Flows production in the finals was top notch. The video was crisp. Far better than the rounds leading up but I really can’t complain about those either.

Camera angles in the finals were great. Oddly, they might have captured a few off mat shots. Didn’t.

Pyles as a podcast guy is only ok. As a play by play with Mike Mal.....effing good. Those two exceed Johnson and Gibbons by a Mile. Others have knowledge, but Mal’s insight is on point and doesn’t rely on the same self invented cliche all the time. Both true and funny.

Well done Flo. For criticism that has come from lots of places including me...Well Done!

Better than Johnson and Gibbons. That there is a "no shyt" moment.

I'm gonna uncinch that leg like a saddle and go ahead and go elbow deep on this thread, alright?

Pyles and Mal are the best duo I've seen call wrestling.

Our stream also went down during the last match, FWIW.

My stream was great for everything all weekend and I thought FLO was phenomenal! I watched a lot of Midlands and Powerade last week too and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the coverage...but with arena and alerts (not available for Midlands) it’s really convenient!

The stream was awesome and i had no issues. Mike Mal and Pyles did a great job. But man by far my favorite is Fretwell!!! That dudes passion and comments are off the wall, and he always has me laughing.

I have to give kudos to Flo since I have been a major critic. I had almost no issues with their streaming of the Scuffle. As to the announcers no comment as I had them muted 90%+ of the time and listened to Byers radio broadcast.

I had some problems with the streaming had to refresh
many times the first day.
The finals I switched to exploer and had no problems.
I do have a older HP lap top so that could be some of
the trouble also.
I love flo now because can watch so many more tourneys. Like the High schools get to see the young
studs coming in the future.
Only I dislike about that is Penn State seems to get all the best ones..No one ever said life would easy..;)

I had issues with Midlands and Powerade. The Scuffle was fine until the final match. It got blurry for most of the match.

I was at the Scuffle and really enjoyed the opportunity to rewatch matches via their easily accessed archives for the tournament.

My wife got me AppleTV 4th generation for Christmas. Streams were pretty solid.

I’m hoping FLO can combine some of the elements of Arena with its Live Events. Would like to see a bottom-screen scroll which indicates on deck and in-hole matches for each mat.

I don't think your issue was the age of your computer, particularly if you were using Firefox. For me, It is awful for streaming, but particularly for Flo, because I run an ad blocker. Flo and ad blocker get along like cats and dogs.

Appreciate the kind words. It goes a long way.

When we have our troubles - and then say we're always trying to get better - it rings hollow and perfunctory of course.

But when we do well - I'll still say we are always trying to get better - which i hope you believe.

anyway - thanks for the compliments.

Damn, you guys are making me feel like an idiot for not purchasing premium before the Scuffle now......

Flo wrestling to me is a dream come true. I remember life before Flo existed when wrestling was talked about but so hard to watch. It is so incredible to watch so many of these guys from everywhere that it has allowed my fandom to jump far outside my little circle in Ames. It has made far more people fans of wrestlers from all over and much less regional. God bless the Flo guys despite the lack of perfection.

Willie, you recruiting any Italian women over there?

The slush fund doesn't have to be limited to high school and college wrestlers.

Using the word perfunctory, while posting on a wrestling board @2:14 am? You need to find a special friend, if you know what I mean.

I've complained about problems with FLO some recently but I will say that the Scuffle couldn't have been any better. Their production is tremendous. For the events such as Midlands where they aren't producing and scoring it, it isn't as good. I wish they would actually produce the Big Ten matches rather than just simulcast the BTN Plus but that's probably a contractual thing. The Wyoming/OSU dual was far better to watch than any BTN Plus event. The comments on the announcers are spot on. When FLO works, it's tremendous. I used my phone for flo arena and my apple tv to watch and was pretty much able to jump mat to mat for 2 days and see everything I wanted. Midlands was slightly more difficult since I had to use Track rather than Arena for to see the upcoming mat assignments. Also, their texting of mat assignments is quite useful.

I have a feeling that the big ten tourney won't be quite as good as the scuffle since track will be involved.

The Flo Zone was a nice touch too.

The only thing I wish they had is the ability to rewind like a DVR. I wish I could rewind and watch Nolf's headlock or Lee's trip or Shak's cradles immediately again.

Flo service and streaming quality will continue to be scrutinized every event they make available until fans have a consistent, reliable product, and rightly so. Must admit, I'm more forgiving than most, and was supportive prior to the Scuffle, as every event in the past several months has been good. Seemed to me the naysayers were being too harsh, and unable to forget the Oklahoma State fiasco. It was bad, and Flo deserved the bad press, but letting go of the past isn't a gift some have.

Haven't had any problems this year even with our slow PNW satellite internet. Fingers crossed same this weekend so don't miss any of the sons Gut Check matches.

BTN Plus production isn't going to change because the cost is basically zero. Student U (meaning communications students) at the home school provide everything. All BTN does is provide the band with. Hence, the mostly amateur announcers.

Letting go of the past and letting go of money are two different things. I'm encouraged by the positive reviews and considering giving Flo another go.

I enjoyed the commentary FLO had at the scuffle.

One Zane match was preceded by a comment:
Watching a Zane match is kinda like watching "The Titanic". It's enjoyable but you know how it's going to end.
And one of the announcers called the Nolf move in advance - he called it the "Winn Dixie" and he saw Jason setting it up both times. It's good to have announcers that know what a takedown is and actually understand what they are looking at.

This is the third time you've responded to a comment of mine about Flo vs BTN Plus and you really don't seem to understand what I'm saying. I'm not asking Student U to do more or anything. I'm saying I wish BTN would just turn the production side over to Flo and then BTN Plus can simulcast the Flo production. I'm not asking anything more of Student U.

I do understand what you are saying but you don't seem to understand what I am saying. Flo doing the production for BIG duals, etc. that BTN Plus covers now would cost Flo a LOT of money. Why would they do that? That would cut into Flo's profit plus they would then only be willing to pay BTN less than they are now, which would cut into BTN's profit. It's just NOT going to happen no matter how much you (and me and every other viewer) want it to. As the popular saying goes these days "It is what it is".

It's interesting and somewhat unexpected to me that Lemonpie's GIFs, instead of making me think I don't need to buy the premium Flo, makes me *want* to buy the premium Flo.

So, when I said " I wish they would actually produce the Big Ten matches rather than just simulcast the BTN Plus", you agree with that?(but didn't say that) You just felt it was well worth your time to tell me it's never going to happen. You quoted my entire post, so I took it as you were saying that the BTN Plus production was good enough for you. (which you've said before)

I've had both positive and negative comments about flo recently, just seems that everytime I make a positive one, you immediately tell me why I'm wrong. Even though, in this case, you agree with me, you wish FLO would take over production.

Telling you what I think and giving you additional information that I think is relevant (which I think you would want to know) is not telling you that you are wrong. Sorry you took it that way.
