He is an excellent recruiter with great ties to the state but might be a little long in the tooth.
The Mac Brown that took a knee on 4th down on his own 47, giving the ball to SC with 11 seconds left? At least Mac was smart enough to hire really good coordinators.
Scott is a very good coach. My 2nd place candidate to replace Franklin if Rhule is somehow unavailable(*).
(*) Conditioned upon Saban and/or Meyer not being available or interested.
Well Mac did win a natty at Texas and coached at North Carolina when they were having a lot of success and stealing guys like Omar Brown from us. I get your point but Mac has a stronger resume and actually coached there before.
Satterfield would be a great hire IMO but I'm guessing they go big name instead of best coach available.
