Foley gives a match-by-match prediction for the National Dual title match between PSU and Ok. St.

For those keeping track, this is week 19, and despite promises he tweeted, no response to Flo's article about Olympic reffing corruption from Foley.

Foley also throws in a veiled promotion for the National Duals having some consequence at NCAAs. That poor horse.

Guess I read his prognostication differently, not that it matters since the wresting is really what matters. T.R. was asked "Does Ohio State have a shot to knock off Penn State tonight?", and he was giving one scenario how it could happen.

This is another exhibit of lazy journalism.

A real journalist would have call tO$U and asked them what the deal is w snyder.

He took the message board approach of shooting from the hip with his thoughts and didn't research it.

Does a disservice to him in my opinion.

Foley remains too concerned about things he can't control in DC over what he can by being true to the sport he covers.

He learned.

Q: I'm excited for Penn State vs. Oklahoma State in the NWCA Division I National Duals championship. I would love to hear your weight-by-weight predictions on that dual meet.

"From what I understand Snyder's money is held in escrow until he graduates."

Tan Tom has explained this in interviews.

"From what I understand" Google doesn't work at Foley's house.

I see your point Roar and actually went back and read the mailbag. Similar to this weeks prediction, I read it as an answer that was if Penn State was flat they would be in a fight for the W. Then his predictions. Not saying your interpretation is wrong just different from mine. Trust me I have the ut most respect for you and your posts.

I agree with this. Foley wasn't making a prediction, he was providing a scenario of how tOSU could beat PSU. And while the scenario was unlikely, it wasn't totally crazy.

But as you say, it doesn't matter.

Not only does he avoid the topic of Olympic officiating corruption, he avoids even answering it in his emails. I've sent off a half dozen overtures to him via email, and nothing back.

Heavens, no biggie at all.

I actually had thought about, while I still worked there (actually, this is several years back, when the Dual Impact Index was still in its infancy), working on something along the lines of "how (lower-ranked) Team X could beat (higher-ranked) Team Y", with scenarios such as the following. Basically, the idea was to provide a scorecard of how to force a tie, and for fans to be able to chart how their duals were going in-progress compared to what needed to be done to win the dual. As you may have noticed, of course, that never got off the ground (actually, I never ended up pitching it).

LOL...me too. Nothing in the bag or even the courtesy of an FU email back. Maybe we should get Hipps in on it.

Im all for a coordinated campaign to fill his inbox if others want to join in the douchebaggery.

Weak sauce.
"Does Ohio State have a shot to knock off Penn State tonight?" The answer is NO!
