No way Rutgers. Clubber Lang is the opposite of Jersey-Shore poser fake tough. He doesn’t give a sh*t whether you think he’s tough. He cares about actual tough. I think he and the Brands would respect one another.

I say Clubber Lang = Iowa.

Apollo Creed = Cal Poly

... is another dud from Foley. Apollo Creed started in a gritty, Kronk-type, city environment (Hearns) and became a slick city guy (Sugar Ray, Ali). There is NOTHING laid-back, small-town, San-Luis-Obispo about Apollo Creed.

I say Apollo Creed = Penn State.

Penn State is the razzle-dazzle, slick wrestling team, on the mat. Off the mat, Penn State is still slick, but lacks razzle dazzle. (tOSU’s Pin Chain and robes and luxury train (bus?) are razzle dazzle, off the mat, but on-the-mat is more important.)

Mickey would have to be the coach and not just the trainer. We can't make him be the underling of someone else. He was never an assistant in the movies.

Now, Paulie; he can be the trainer, the assistant, somewhere. The old negative-point Michigan State would've been perfect for Paulie.

Mickey can toil away as the coach at some budget-constrained, no-name school somewhere. Drexel would be fine, since Rocky is already there, per Foley's one good choice.
