Foley's Friday Mailbag for 8/31/18

Foley also indicated, in discussing PSU, that "the Blue and White wrestle-off will give some early season indication as to who will take the top spot by March ..." Way to stay on top of things, T.R.

For those keeping track, this is week 100, and despite promises he tweeted, no response to Flo's article about Olympic reffing corruption from Foley.

Mike C started slow, but ended up with 3 of the 6 questions.

- Dice gets Penn, Drexel, and PA/NJ HS wrestling
- NYWrestler gets NY HS wrestling
- Andro gets Lehigh
- Cowbell gets Cornell
- Dunk gets Lock Haven, Bucknell, and Bloomsburg
- Tikk gets the NYC teams
- AgSurfer gets the west coast teams
- CowboyUp gets the Pokes
- Tiger and Johnstown Steel get Iowa -- it's too big of a job for one person!
- Also gonna need multiple heads for Ohio State. Chickenman gets Tan Tom -- and can you handle Jaggers too? (OT is available.)
- Matter gets Rutgers
- Jammen gets to cover National Duals

Still need coverage for:
- Arizona State -- plum assignment, would take it but I'm happily married and want to remain so
- NC State and VT
- Missouri

Well, there were only 3 Mike C questions this week, but here goes -- and I'll try to write Foley type answers but too lazy to mimic his style:

1. Biggest locks at Budapest in each style:
The biggest lock is that each international style is much more awesome than folkstyle because international. America needs to ditch folk, which I say has held back Team USA since forever despite the results on the mat, because shut up.

2. American wrestlers competing for other countries:
Every American wrestler should compete for other countries because international, because freestyle awesome, and because folkstyle holds back knuckle dragging America which I love and only flat earthers would dare question that.

(Jefe answer: Why not? Not like this is unique -- how many Italian, French, and Spanish last names end in a "v" anyway?)

3. HWC adding women wrestlers:
Good start but not nearly enough. When is Brands gonna join the 21st century and add a transgendered team? Bigot.

(Jefe voice: "mixed-gender training awesome for HWC men" might be Peak Foley.)

Bonus -- Iran vs. Iowa study:
Iran: government shoots you in the middle of the night
Iowa: teammate shoots you in the middle of the night
Verdict: Iran is safer.

I'm definitely going to be there for Penn State assuming that the not so subtle dialogue between Zeke and Flo means what we think it means. You thinking about going too?

1st report-remodeling room as we speak. Just not sure 5 mats are necessary. John is too quiet to be heard on far mats anyway. New locker room is sweet. Looking forward to dual bowl championships. (Sorry Jammenz)

I'll take Arkansas - Little Rock. I don't expect to have much to do for a few years, but I did live in Memphis for thirteen years, plus I just think it's cool that a new team is starting up, and it's in the south. Does that qualify me?
