So my wife's sister got engaged this weekend, which is kind of whatever and wasn't a blip on my radar. I just learned that she wants a September wedding, though.

"No problem," I thought. "PSU doesn't have a relevant non-conf foe in the foreseeable future, so it'll suck but I'll watch the games on my mobile hologram machine (I assume that's coming soon)."

Then I realized that we play Pitt that month. There's no way her sister is not picking that date, is there?

Regardless of whether or not it'll be a close game (With Connor and Voytik, I think it should be), I've been looking forward to the tailgating on the river, seeing old friends in my old city and whiting out that awful stadium since the game was announced.

And maybe it'll be another day, but it doesn't change the fact that fall weddings suck. I was lucky she and I were only dating when her last (sans ours) family wedding occurred, so I watched us hang 40+ on Iowa in Kinnick in 2012 while she did whatever you do on fall Saturdays when you don't watch football (which is????).

Anyway. Fall weddings suck, and I hope all brides and grooms who have fall weddings suffer from autumn seasonal allergies this and every year. End rant.
