After a disastrous defeat to a Hiighly ranked team - Texas coach has switched play calling responsibility.
Not that the actions of others should dictate our reality - there are consequences and the problem might be in ourselves. The question is not what can we do? The question is why we were not prepared to address different situations in the game.
The really good coaches don't attempt to fit players into systems but, rather adapt systems to fit their personnel.
All the other criticisms that have been listed are valid - no hot receivers, no TE across the middle, no stretching the field, failure to run the ball enough. All of which JF mentioned in his PC. Which leaves the question WHY we weren't ready to make those adjustments on the spot during the game?
And please don't respond that the talent level was so low that we just had to sit there and take it. Coaches are supposed to coach up their players - the improvement was hard to see! Except for the first 10 to 12 minutes - OR until adjustments were needed. I could be wrong; IMO, I don't think so.
My goodness, what have they been doing since January? Recruiting really well! Hopefully we hold those commitments.
