in regular-season games when coming off of a straight-up loss.

What I take away from that: CJF teams do not respond well when coming off adversity. CJF teams are not mentally tough when challenged.

We got away with it today and won going away (although, again, not covering the number) because Rutgers isn't a very talented football team. But that's the only reason..

We got away with it today and won easily (although, again, not covering the number) because Rutgers is very offensively challenged. But that's the only reason.

Who cares about the spread? Honestly. What is the record straight up?

CJF's straight-up record isn't good either: 6-7. The wins are over the not-so-mighty six-some of Indiana, Buffalo, Maryland, Temple, Minnesota and Rutgers.

When did anyone ever get points in the standings or Ws in the win column for beating the spread?

Can only beat the teams you play.

I tend to care if the team actually beats the other team on the field, I don't give a crap about if they cover the spread or not.

If that is your 1st worry, maybe you have a gambling problem.

My goodness! We win 35-6, dominate the game after the 1st qtr., and we get a "CJF teams are not mentally tough when challenged" comment like that! Screw you and your gambling habit!

I think today showed they are mentally tough

Could have continued to play flat but didn't. Totally dominated the final 45 minutes.
