Temple returned 10 starters on defense. There main Defensive plan was to blitz the crap out of Hack. But in there game planning they did everything they could to disguise there blitzes.
When defending the blitz was the biggest problem last year, how as coaches can you not concentrate much of your planning to combat that? Honestly is there anything you can do scheme wise do counter a horrible O-line?
I just spoke with a very respectable coach, who won some championships in our area and asked him how do you combat this problem. He said you either max protect, or spread them out and have quick three step drops and get the ball out. All of which we tried in the past.
With Nyeem Whartman-White being out, you can forget about our Defense being what it was last year. And is Wooten honestly our next best option?
My biggest fears have come true. All last year, I said if the line is not good this in 2015, we will not be good for about 3 to 4 years. I don't care if I'm being cocky, but this was the first thing I thought of, when I saw the worst O-line in the history of football play.
