For you flyfishermen and women the sulphers are on. I was out last night

I've had that happen with pickerel when I'm bass fishing with large flies. Unfortunately, that is usually means a quick end to the to the line and bye bye fly. I don't like to use wire leader because it makes the fly look unnatural.

had another amazing Sulpher afternoon on Spring on Saturday.

On Sunday, me and Garw headed north and fished our favorite freestone and caught dozens and dozens of brookies ( some up to 13/14 inches ) on caddis and suphers. water levels were fantastic, beautiful day in a great valley.

I am headed to Canada in two weeks for my first foray into Northern Pike on fly. I have been tying some gigantic bugs lately...1/0 to 3/0.

Many of the saltwater streamers will work on Pike. Anything tied for stripers, blues, barracuda, redfish, etc. One advantage is that they are tied on a heavy hook and the hook has a short shank so when the pike grabs the streamer from the rear or the side you hook the pike in the lip or corner somewhere, not down in the gullet where you either lose the fly or have to use long needle nosed pliers or a hook remover.
Here is a nice site to buy whatever you need.

Yes, Lehigh Valley, Pocono and Appalachian streams. I hit them good on the Aquashicola Sunday and Pohopoco yesterday. Still mixed with caddis. Be ready with both.

lots of bugs and fish "looking up" here in the LV. This is the time a lot of us wait for all year. Get out and enjoy while it lasts.
Same on Yellow Breeches, Codorus, Cove and Yellow Creek. GREAT time to be out on streams
