Forget the win. What about those shirts in pre-game warm-ups?

Football staff members removed the shirts because Franklin didn’t know about them. It’s nice to see solidarity, but wearing the shirts during warm-ups should have been discussed with Franklin first.

Isn’t there an NCAA rule about wearing only official team issued gear during pre game and during the game?

For some reason I think it harkens back to Bosworth wearing his anti NCAA tee shirt for the 1987 Orange Bowl coin toss

That about sums it up. While Franklin couldn't have been happy about being blindsided, and it would suggest the players weren't entirely "Iowa, Iowa, Iowa", I think it's a positive indication of team solidarity. If this is the type of discipline issues the team has, Penn State could do worse.

Yes, that was JF's or PSU's public comment on the matter.

The shirts got pulled because the corporate logo on them made them an NCAA violation

Great. Maybe the team will have to forfeit the Michigan game. That will show us!
