Hope this the start of a 6-10 commit run over the next 2-3 weeks. The elite CB's want to play man to man, follow the best WR no matter where he lines up. Aggressive defense helps attract top talent and it's great that Allen will continue the aggressive defense he inherited from Diaz.

And it doesn't hurt that we just sent 3 CBs to the NFL, a year after sending Joey Porter. Obviously, something is working in development in the secondary. Lots of good safeties coming out of PSU as well.
Good size. 6’ and 180 as a high school jr. Will be 200-210 and maybe an inch or two taller.

Great get. I believe that last player we got from CA was Koa Farmer in 2014, via Vanderbilt. A player of this caliber from the state of CA is some awesome recruiting.
Mater Dei has 2 top 50ish CB's on their high school roster?
It was nice to see us beat Alabama for a top CB prospect. Then I looked at UA's commitment list and discovered that a 6'1" 185lb CB just pledged to attend Alabama on 5/8, Chuck McDonald III.
In addition, they just added Michae Carroll, an OL from Downingtown to their commitment list.
Still a great pickup and he will join Vega Ioane (Washington) as the 2nd player from the west coast on the PSU roster.
Before that, it was Tyler Ferguson, QB from Bakersfield, CA. Home of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and Dwight Yoakam.

He is the bomb. Who would have thought, a former WR at Penn State, Mr. Superfly, could do this with DB's!
Comes from one of the best HS programs in California.
In the age of NIL and transfer portal, who knows with any kid. If we can get him to campus and he excels, it's a great inroad at a school that produces D1 talent yearly.
I hear you, but Smith is a proven coach and Dixson will likely play early. Some kids want to get away from home and if he doesn't like it, easy to go somewhere else in todays world of CF ....
My cousin in LA sent 2 boys east to college. Since their youth they loved the variety of plants, seasons and generally "different" things on our side of the continent. Like fireflys. They went nuts seeing them.
One left after a semester. The other spent all 4 years. So a coin flip....which seems par for the course today anyway. But neither of them played a sport in front of 100,000+ people in one of the best venues. They also had no pro prospects at a specialty with coaches who have developed a pipeline to the NFL.

Terry Smith and AP are certainly able to bring in and develop guys better than I can remember anyone doing at PSU. I absolutely love how good of a recruiter Terry Smith is.
