upper classman?Upperclassman, incoming recruits and homesickness.
Sounds palpable to meUpperclassman, incoming recruits and homesickness.
he's from TX, I believe. Long way from home.Upperclassman, incoming recruits and homesickness.
Yes, I know.True freshman
The weather in SC has been so gawd awful in 2018, that I wonder how some of these kids from warmer climates are adapting? It rained all of July/August with no sun most days, a brief and temperate fall, and then 12 inches of snow 2 weeks ago with winter like temps since then and more rain.
He didn't play at all.I don't think Humphries even played the 3 or 4 games he could have played in to keep his redshirt.
FLOYes, I know.
I meant "Upperclassmen ahead of him on the depth chart".....figured shorthand would be easier. It was not.
Buried on depth chart & home sick. Writing was on the wall.
Best of luck to him. Next man up!
1976.I certainly don’t remember a season with this many ugly football game days (weather-wise) ever in Happy Valley!
Yep, I mentioned this at beginning of season. The new rule is great to get FR some experience but there is a huge downside in that other kids who don't play are going to recognize their future may not be too bright. It definitely makes for a difficult balancing act for coaches.Interesting dynamic with being able to play 4 games and still redshirt. They may have been able to accept that it is best to redshirt in the past, but you wonder how they respond to not playing at all with the new rules. Sends a stronger message to them where the are on the depth chart.
I caught that too. Maybe we're reading too much into the words of an 18-19 year old, but it doesn't sound like a warm and fuzzy feeling for Happy Valley.Transfer from this place. Hmmmm.
and for everything that I value (???)Transfer from this place. Hmmmm.
and his use of the worse "the"????and for everything that I value (???)
Based on his comment I think he doesn’t see a path to playing time and wants to play football. This is why predictions about open scholarship spots are a waste of time

So we lost 4 guys from last year draft? What effect would that have on our ranking? Do the Other teams in the top 8,10? have the same amount that just came on board in 2018 leaving?
This explains Farmer's season I guess. The weather in SC has been so gawd awful in 2018, that I wonder how some of these kids from warmer climates are adapting? And his father replied that people don't know the situation. Human nature to speculate, but none of us know the situation. Wish him the best.I agree, I think his comment of "But in order to grow and not lose the passion that I have for football", tells us exactly why he is transferring...that he does not see himself playing much in the future. He was an early enrollee so I assume that he was also disappointed that he did not get any playing time this fall. But his father Leonard played at Penn State so hopefully Isaiah continues to root for Penn State. Good luck to Isaiah in the future.
Can he play right away since he sat this year?

I did just that sir.And his father replied that people don't know the situation. Human nature to speculate, but none of us know the situation. Wish him the best.
Which means he can play at Michigan next year, but must sit a year everywhere else. Not unless he gets a waiver.
