FRL 351: PSU vs tOSU

Also, pretty much concluded that Steveson is the greatest wrestler of all-time.

I'd have to agree. Also add that Gable will have weaker coaching, a weaker room, and weaker University/Fan support than what Cael had, which would make the 4X with no RS really remarkable.

Is Gable going for his 3rd or 4th NCAA championship this year? I need to look it up. ;)

also competing at weaker weight IMO overall (and especially this year)

The guys do a great job with FRL. I especially enjoyed Nomad's stats on Cassar's takedowns this season (AC has 78 TDs in 18 matches. He has managed 4+ TDs in every match except for White (0), Nevills (3), and the two quick pins.

CP liked it too. That stat changed his mind and he gave a maj dec to Cassar. As opposed to a minor dec. ;)

agreed... it will get much more difficult

just stating that he is fortunate that his true freshman year its a bad weight (relatively speaking of course). take Zain for example ... no Steiber in his weight as a true fosh and there is a very good chance he is undefeated in his career

I know I’m in the minority but I don’t think Gable is going to win even 1 NCAA title. This year is his best chance and I think Cassar will beat him. Going forward with Kerkvliet (who I think is the best hwy recruit of them all), Schultz, Parris, Snacks, Cassioppi, Hutmacher I just see too much talent. I think Parris is going to be scary good in a couple years. He never was a full time wrestler and now that he is and is able to train with Coon he is going to be a beast. Snacks is looking incredible this year. Better than I expected and better than his brother which is saying a lot. It’s great to see especially at heavyweight. This much talent all hitting at the same time is going to be fun for us fans!

Wow yeah, that's gotta be a pretty small minority. 4 times is tough to call now, but the kid (to my eyes) has all of the pieces to win, and it's awfully hard for me to see him not winning NCAAs in his career. Gun to head, I'd say 3x. But the weight class is going to be great, for sure.
 
Before Jammy gets too excited, remember that Adam Coon tech’d Stevenson 11-0 in 4:05 at WTTs.

Yes, that was freestyle. But Coon just rag dolled him.

GS could always find the wrong matchup in the next 4 years vs an athletic, bigger man.

Yeah, Gable has lost more this year than any year previous by a large margin.

Yep, but pretty much taken off the slate off "best ever" within his first two months. Just illustrating the silliness if those same observations for another stud who hasn't even competed for his first conference championship let alone... Jami just wants a response, so I thought I would feed him

I would be surprised if he doesn't win at least two, but GOAT means going undefeated. That is an entirely different universe, he may be off that list within the next two months.
