I am not sure why I find this stuff so amusing but....Nick Faldo and his wife were watching the show "Yellowstone" a couple of years ago and said something like "that looks great, why don't we move to Montana?" So they did. Complete with a round of golf with Kevin Costner (and Huey Lewis).

When my bride and I were newlyweds we thought about fleeing NYC and city-hopping for a few years before starting a family. We didn't.

Now as we approach 60 and considered joining The Great Resignation we are looking at RVs and dream talking again.

Odds are we will stay where we are and work til we are 70 to be safe. We love our home and community. But that wanderlust is still there...all we are missing is Nick Faldo's bank account : )

Frank Zappa was so far ahead of his time. Maybe you can be a dental floss tycoon!

My wife has a second cousin who is a bit wacky. Dude was raised in Bethesda, went to Georgetown Prep/ Georgetown and made some bank in various businesses. Became an "art advisor" for many well heeled collectors. We visited him in LA Jolla once where he was "house sitting" for Mason Phelps Jr. He then moved to the Grand Tetons in Wyoming for awhile cribbing up on the ranch of another client. Great way to see the best of the best of America rent free.

As someone with a clean legal record, once was bonded for Summer jobs at an armored car company, and with Pa and FBI school clearances there could be a similar future. Some pretty wealthy friends from my old career days live the multiple house lifestyle. We have thought about inquiring if they would consider us to mind their homes when they aren't there.

The only downside is that the seasons would be backwards, but who cares? John's Island, FL and Aspen in the Summer and Fall. Nantucket in the Winter/Spring and Greenwich whenever they need a plug in there....

We are too proud to ask right now, but I know they hire "people" to manage their real estate affairs.

Why not us in retirement? We'll just pull up the rv like Meet the Fockers! (-10 for spelling?)

When you both retire send out letters announcing your retirement and travel . Add an oh/by-the-way “we are available for house sitting…. Sign up soon before we are fully booked!” See who takes up the offer.

Faldo is probably reconsidering his move to Montana if he is there right now. Yikes.

If I recall correctly he also owns a home at the Greenbrier for the hunting and fishing.
