No question the three blind mice missed the shot clock violation, which was huge. But Kentucky was the beneficiary of several other wrong calls during the last five minutes of the game.

At one point the announcers streaming the Wiscy view of the game went so far as to say Wiscy was hanging in there, considering they were playing 5 on 8.

Whether pulling for Wiscy OR Kentucky, one of the most poorly officiated NCAA games in a 2015 post-season that has been littered with controversial / wrong calls.

At one point I got so pissed when the Wisky player was hit in the face right in front of the ref and there was no call, I actually jumped up and said the fix was in.

And don't forget, the next possession, ref called a charge

on Wisconsin while the Kentucky player was shuffling his feet all over the f'ing place. Not set AT ALL. back to back calls screwing Wisconsin, I was thinking the same thing.

I don't understand basketball officiating anymore. Touch fouls on the perimeter get called, but guys get mugged inside and nothing is called. Over the back doesn't exist. I don't know what traveling is because I see it on almost every possession but it's rarely called.

I'm certain that most of them listened to the Kentucky biased broadcast crew. I listened to them for a while and they were questioning about everything that didn't go their way. It was a horrible broadcast crew.

Yeah- I've seen the UK fans bitching about the shot clock violation basket. What they don't mention is that the very next possession the UK player clearly charged but the refs called it a block- made basket plus free throw. UK came out on top 3-2 in points from bad calls that minute of the game. Then add in the clear hit to the face where the refs mysteriously played stupid (or did they follow the big ten conference lead and have a replay monitor malfunction when reviewing it? )-- and UK got away with what should have been 2 Whisky free throws (and likely a UK player ejection). It was not a well officiated game all around but UK fans have no ability to claim the refs we're Wisky homers or gave the game away.

About the only time

a walk is called is when a player with the ball gets shoved or practically tackled. Instead of a foul they call walking.

"Over the back" DOESN'T exist. That's not a foul, that's what

announcers say to dumb it down for the masses. You can go "over someone's back" all you want, as long as you aren't displacing them from the position they've established.

They Called A Travel - But Only Because The Wiscy Player Stumbled!

Yeah, traveling is seldom called and sometimes it looks as if it's not a step or two, but three or even four. I'm asking myself game after game how are some of these moves not traveling.....and I almost fall out of my recliner when one's actually called.

And I agree 100% on the ticky tacky calls, then the football collisions underneath are ignored. It's admittedly a tough game to officiate re: foul vs. non-foul, but with no national oversight, every official calls the game his way = total inconsistency from game to game......and, even more frustrating, within a game

Both late charging calls were correct. Kentucky player was playing D

like your supposed to. Sliding his feet in the direction the offensive player is going. The Wisky player dropped his left shoulder right into his chest. Same thing with the call on Towns. You can't drop your lead shoulder into the chest of the defender. The defender is allowed to be moving and still draw a charge.

Re: They Called A Travel - But Only Because The Wiscy Player Stumbled!

this is one of my pet peeves. not calling traveling changes the game result the same way not calling OFF holding does in FB. it allows players to have more impact in a game than their talent may warrant.

according to the rules, you get 1.5 steps, when you are dribbling you cannot carry, palm or turnover the ball. almost all the between the legs dribbles violate these rules.

I am not sure where this came from, but the game rules as enforced do not match the way play is conducted and enforced.

It's so funny seeing the different opinions on any officiating...people see it with the slant they want to see it. Everyone I've talked to including me thinks UK got the short end of the stick from the officials all game.

I thought Wiscy got the calls in the 1st Half and UK got them in the 2nd. The refs seemed to have spurts where they only saw it either red or blue for a few minutes.
