Basketball Future sites of B1G MBB and WBB Tournaments

NYC is not possible with MSG taken up the same weekend every year with the Big East Tournament.

DC, Philly and Pittsburgh will likely never get them, as they aren't popular enough imo.
Yeah living in Pittsburgh I never thought for a second Pittsburgh or Philly would be in play. I didn't really expect Vegas though so...

Whenever Pittsburgh hosts the NCAA Tournament, the games attract very large crowds, like this past March. Pittsburgh is a great events city, and the Men's Big Ten Tournament probably would be well-attended. Regardless, those tournaments should be played in all of the major cities in Big 10 country on a rotating basis rather than in Indy or Chicago every season.

That’s what I was getting at. If we can schedule west in Las Vegas then we can schedule east too.

NYC has the Barclays center too, not just MSG. As for popularity, they use Indianapolis and Detroit. Not exactly prime destinations. ;)

They aren't going to have two major conference tournaments in NY. That's not exactly logical.
Is Pittsburgh even considered Big Ten territory with Pitt being in the ACC? What about all the Philadelphia Big 5 basketball programs? Just like Cincinnati wouldn't make sense to me. Columbus or Cleveland maybe. Detroit, Indy, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland are really the cities I would have expected. Maybe Milwaukee.
I also don't think of DC as "Big Ten territory"--Baltimore would make more sense.
But, yeah, if Vegas in play then I guess there's no rules or logic.

They’ve done the Big Ten tourney in both NYC and DC in the past.
