He shouldn't even be allowed on the bus back to Champaign. Illini down 14 when they get the ball back with 4:00 left and 3 timeouts. They drive down the field and get the ball to the 15 with 1:05 to go and all 3 timeouts. First play is a quick out that is tackled inbounds and the clock runs and runs and runs and no timeout taken. Illinois scores with :23 left to get it to 7 and still have all 3 timeouts. Now, in what handbook do you just let 25 seconds melt off in the final minute when you're in the red zone and have 3 timeouts? When Illinois was out nosing around State College years ago looking to poach players, perhaps they'd have been better off actually finding someone who could coach. Couldn't happen to a nicer school.
