1. Paris Palmer didn't play nearly as bad as some thought he would. Sure he got beat a few times, but he wasn't a glaring weakness like most predicted. What I do like about him is that when he does get beat he still tries to get a push on his guy from behind and that sometimes is enough to buy some more time or it allows McSorley to step up.
2. Who lit a fire under Schwan and Sickel's asses?
3. Really like Windsor's motor for a DT. That kid never gives up on a play. He missed a sack on Barrett and still hustled down field and almost caught him from behind.
4. Marcus Allen saved the day with the blocked FG, but he needs to realize that when a TE releases down field without attempting to block you that it's a pass. He does that a lot. I know he comes up and gets involved in the run game, but by simply reading his keys he could be even a better all around safety.
5. Having your starting LB's back makes a big difference.
6. Going into the game I thought that the PSU's WR's had the advantage against the OSU secondary from a physical stand point. Their secondary is really fast, but I thought they were undersized and that taller physical receivers would give them problems.
7. Glad PSU is playing Purdue next. PSU isn't good enough yet to just show up and beat teams, but Purdue is not a very good team. These noon games are always interesting. There has to be a let down after playing a night game at home against the #2 team in the country. Playing Purdue gives them "some" margin of error due to their lack of overall talent.
