Fox announces they will be the television host for the OSU/PSU game in a few weeks.
Unfortunately think this game is decided by the officials. Our DB play tight and on the edge with penalties. If officials let them play we should do well. If they start flagging questionable calls we’re in trouble. Second concern is middle of the field when when we blitz. Safeties need to be Johnny on the spot. Third concern is shutting down the run.
On offensive side, can we get good blocking? We need a 3-5 big run plays and one or two 20 plus yard pass plays. Can Clifford avoid his game day brain fart/can’t hit the broad side of a barn for a quarter or more. Love to see us start off with a screen play to RB.

Too funny, FOX just showed the Officials walking out of the tunnel with the scUM team - this Conference is so tone-deaf to clear appearances. Ridiculous.
Clifford is the key. He tends to come out all excited and pumped up in big games then overthrows open receivers. He needs to be calm and composed and hit those open guys. That will then open up the running game.
I told Coach********just me being witty******* that if Clifford overthrows his first pass then he needs to call two Qb runs to burn off some adrenaline and get his head into the game. Some QBs just need some physical contact and he is one of those. A QB draw, an off tackle run.......then back to a pass. Repeat until he calms down. Then do same throughout the game anytime he starts to get excited and overthrow guys.
A balanced O negates their front seven. Opens up the run. Rests the D.

What is glaring typically is the inconsistency of the b1g hacks - they throw tons of flags on PSU secondary, but almost none on duhO$U or scUM's secondary - both of which are lightyears more handsie and grabbie in the defensive secondary. Ditto holding along the OL.

Hairbaugh gave PSU a guift on the 3rd down call. I seem to remember him just running and then going for it on 4th almost always in the past.
He was spinning in the air when the ball came out - of course, no review.
I've watched McCarthy a few times this year and he's really innaccurate at times. A big plus for PSU.

Whether it was a fumble or not, I guarantee they would have reviewed it had PSU had the ball.
Good hold by Penn State's defense, stopping that momentum is big. Outside the penalty, they really didn't do terrible.
