Turned vegetarian since the garden came in. Lettuce, cukes, corn on the cob, tomatoes, beets every night and a tomato sandwich every lunch time that I've been home.

Good to hear for both of you. I didn't put one out since I was gone the first 10 days of June and 10 days prior to July 4. Didn't feel we could do the proper maintenance.
Many reports here in NW Ohio about plants not doing well due to massive amounts of late May through end of July. Some had as much as 20" during that time.
Enjoy the harvest for me!

Best garden I've had since I dug it up in 1993. My previous canning record was 25 quarts. My saucers look insane. Should blow that away.

Just picked 7 cukes (picklers). Have them icing up now. Thinking about making a quart of tzatziki sauce. Usually I just make pickles or eat them fresh with some vinegar, oil and dill.

Slicers started coming in last weekend. BLT's are now on the menu - any time - breakfast, lunch or dinner. Even my driers are looking great. Will have to wash up the dehydrator soon.

Peppers are on. Like to let them go red, but due to such a nice crop, may grill up some greens.

Everyone I've talked to is having a great year.

Bon appetit.

Yep, the corn came in early last week and I've been enjoying it nearly every night since. It is starting to get a tad on the chewy side now, so I'll pick it all on Sat. Anyone have any suggestions for freezing it?

Tomato plants (big boys) have gotten so big that they are smashing their wire cages. I've never seen this before. And that nasty brown leaf/slow death experience I've had with them for the past few years has not reared its ugly head. I should be eating fresh red tomatoes well into October, and then some fried green tomatoes for some weeks after that.

Strange this this year is I have not had many zucchinis. Loads of peppers and everything else...very few zuchs. It's usually the opposite for me.

Zucchini season has come and gone, was getting 5 a day for about a week. Jalapeños are all over the place. Bells are all coming in nice now. Pull up about 5 lbs of potatoes a day, trading them for greens with a buddy. Should be getting 5 lbs of tomatoes a day starting next weekend. Lots of tomato sandwiches coming.

Cucumbers and snap peas came in great. Very little off of the broccoli or cauliflower so far.
