Generations of Greatness

You could not be more wrong. Not even close.

They're not thieves. They don't hate Joe. They are simply not leaders.

They are people who have done very well for themselves in their lives, and will do anything to avoid being attacked in the press. So, because the insane media ties Joe into pedophilia, putting his image up there is considered risky. Which, with today's media, is true.

They will use the term 'divisive' if pressed to describe Joe's memory, because it is much better than admitting they're cowards.
Smithton: I think you are being too charitable with respect to this BoT cabal. They played a large role in the fiasco, and did so knowingly and intentionally.

Moreover, it is plainly ludicrous that they would try to organize a nod to PSU history like this "Generations of Greatness" thing, yet omit to give any kind of nod to the guy who is responslble for ninety percent of it. As nice as many of the gestures were, the whole thing seemed hollow with the conspicuous omission of Joe.

I am 100% certain that they omitted Joe Paterno for a reason.

I think that reason is weakness and cowardice.

Others think it is hatred of Paterno.

I can't prove it, but I have only seen evidence that Surma disliked Paterno. I was stunned to see it, but another poster showed clear proof of it. Vic Surma is a petty individual.

I thought the jerseys looked pretty sharp with the bigger numbers. Only quibble was that the 8 and the 9 look pretty much the same so when 89 caught a pass at the beginning of the 3rd quarter, I thought it was Gesicki. But I wouldn't mind seeing those jerseys come back in a subsequent year against a non-con tomato can at home.

Who performed the introduction speech for Jack Ham when he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame? Gee, I don't remember.
