Apparently she's bashing JF on twitter. Anybody here who is twitter-centric, could you post it? It's not pretty, although it does come across as though she is a woman scorned.

Not sure why she would be upset. Her son received a degree from a world class University, and got plenty of playing time.

Well, Rutgers fans aren't wasting any time trying to use this to sway one of our recruits...(Dwumfor):

you get your degree, you are no longer entitled to take a scholarship spot if existing and new talent is better. Get great players and graduate them on time.

That's his dad? Really?

I'll correct title if that is true.

Although, if my name was Junie, I'd always be in a bad mood, too.

This is interesting. Junie Lewis is a Pitt dropout.

http://articles.philly.com/1988-02-...ans-north-carolina-and-georgetown-junie-lewis

Excerpt:

"I did a lot of stupid things as a freshman," Lewis said. "I really wasn't a disciplined player. I thought I should have been playing more. I said a lot of things I shouldn't have at the time.

"I made some mistakes," he said. "But I've really grown up over the last three years. I don't get upset if things don't go my way. I realize now there's always some light at the end of the tunnel."

Sounds to me like he is still making mistakes.

Here is another article on this guy. He's a piece of work.

Here is another link which details the allegations against (former) Rev.Eugene Lewis Sr.

http://timesleader.com/archive/77728/stories-pastor-forced-out-over-claims240081

The pastor at the First Church of Christ confirmed he was ousted from his position Saturday after church officials alleged he and his wife defrauded people out of money by falsely claiming she had cancer.

...

The claims are the latest troubles for the couple, who also are facing criminal charges in connection with two unrelated incidents.

Court records show Eugene Lewis Sr. was charged on Nov. 19 with fleeing the scene of an accident after he backed into another car parked in the area of 137 S. Pennsylvania Ave. on Sept. 20. He was identified after the other driver wrote down his license plate number.

Amy Lewis, 33, was charged on Oct. 31 with falsely obtaining $11,541 in food stamps and medical assistance benefits from the state from Feb. 1, 2011 to Jan. 31 2012.

His grammar is horrible. It's as though he's never written a coherent sentence in his entire life. What's with invoking Jesus? He does praise JoePa so that is a plus for him.

I can't imagine that the staff would not want him back. The kid has made some big time plays over the years. Plus, OU is not chopped liver. I doubt they would have taken him if they did not think he could potentially help their football team.

Franklin got rid of some 5th year seniors at Vandy too. I remember when it happened sports talk radio in Nashville went wild saying how Vandy was now going to be like other SEC schools.

I could see him recommending to some 5th year guys who don't sniff the field that it is time to move on. I don't see Lewis ever falling into that category. (I doubt the guys he told at Vandy to move on could have transferred to a school like OU). I think Lewis is arguably the best on the team at high pointing the ball on fades, etc. Good luck to Lewis. He has had a productive PSU career.

Russell Wilson was pretty good too and he transferred because the school wanted to move new players in - it happens all the time. If Rutgers thinks that will sway kids to them they must have a Tin Foil sale running in N. jersey,

Welcome to the world of coaches. Players love you when their playing. Remember that Surma and Suhey had it in for Joe because of their little boys? Did you really think this sort of nonsense stopped after high school? I once had the father of my backup quarterback write a letter to the editor criticizing me under an assumed name. It usually comes down to daddy or mommy making an evaluation of a coach and a program based purely on juniors role in it. Franklin likely had one on ones with everyone on the roster and was brutally honest. I respect this and believe it is essential to filing the roster with players that "know the score." If the rant was genuine, I don't that JF made any promises to Geno that he didn't keep. Coaches constantly recruit to upgrade positions. GL happened to play a position that is well stocked with younger, and in some cases more talented players. If a red shirt freshman could on play a handful of games on special teams......our lousy special teams........what does that say about his progress and ability? Players have one career and if they think the grass is greener, it is all good to move on. Coaches do. I have no doubt that JF is trying to build a foundation for a long tenure. No one said it would be easy. It seems to me that many here are comfortable with trashing the coaches for losing, but panic when the players are evaluated in an effort to upgrade the available talent to progress.

Exactly!!

Comments are rather vague. If I have it straight, he feels Gattis was not truthful and Franklin wouldn't meet with him. If Godwin, Hamilton, and Blacknall feel the same way, I might pay attention, but seems like sour grapes.

What evaluation
would be more accurate? A coaching staff desperate to win or a parent who feels the team revolves around his child.

Rutgers is the Red Pitt and tries to out do them every day. Rarely ever focus on being better, just tearing others down to their level. Delany's dilemma.

Too bad some folks at Pitt don't know Junie Lewis is Geno's father! There you have it!
Junie transferred from Pitt to South Alabama and finished his basketball career there. His Aunt was a fine Basketball player at Pitt and I believe works for the university. To be fair if the was a Pitt bias wouldn't Geno have gone to Pitt in the first place ?

I guess she just doesn't understand that there are 6 wr on the roster that are better than her son. You know what they say, love is blind.

I liked Geno, but he was kind of in the way. I talked about one of the problems we have is some more experienced but less talented players are in the way of potential stars. Guys like Akeel Lynch and Geno Lewis come to mind. The Temple game showcased Geno dropping the ball and I remember saying just get him off the field, we have enough talented WRs to step in.

Well Juwan Johnson and Irvin Charles were two of them and they never saw the field this year. We have Godwin and Hamilton and then Blacknall who should play more in my opinion. We have a more experienced Polk and Thompkins and the two now RS Freshman I mentioned.

Geno made some acrobatic catches and one could argue he was our best red zone weapon but he dropped a lot of easy balls, barely played most of the season, and was not very fast. He just isn't as talented as the others. OU is losing a ton of WR depth, they have nothing to lose.

Sometimes you have to cut the fat, none of these transfers will prevent us from winning B1G championships in the future. They are all players who weren't going to play much at all with the exception of Reeder if there were an injury.

Expect Juwan Johnson to step in and be the red zone threat we need, heard a few who watch practice say kid is NFL talent, may only be in HV for 2 years, 3 tops. I thought same watch HS tape. Could be scary good.

You're either with us or against us. Good luck finding the family atmosphere at OU that PSU exemplifies

Not worth noting....and BTW....I find it interesting that Rutgers has coaches.....was unaware of that fact
