Anyone try that c3i wedge? I have heard some pretty good things about it, anyone using it? Would love to buy it and get rid of my other 2 wedges, would allow me to put an extra iron in my bag...
Better than a 60 foot back cast of a 4/0 Clouser while wearing a Speedo on the beach.not really a wedge but i got hit in the nuts once from someones back swing
He should have yelled "two"not really a wedge but i got hit in the nuts once from someones back swing
That is a 65 degree wedge, good for getting out of the sand and short shots. A friend has one and gets about 50 yards max out of it. You need other wedges in your bagAnyone try that c3i wedge? It’s not the head of the golf club, it’s the head of the golfer.
There are SO many ways to play the game and SO many club options, it’s what you become comfortable with and what you believe in. CONFIDENCE is THE key.
I’m sure no one in the USA carries the same collection of clubs that I do. Some of my club members laugh every time they play with me, but they all agree with “it doesn’t matter how, it matters how many”.
- Driver, Mini-Driver, 5, 7 & 9 wood
- 5 & 8 iron
- a 41* niblick
- pw, 56*, 62*
- 3 putters (one used as a “Texas wedge”)
Is the c3i a good club? If it works for you and you have confidence in it, yep, it’s a good club!
I think you need to replace that 9 wood with a Mashie Niblick. I’m having my Mid Mashie re-gripped for the season. It’s not the head of the golf club, it’s the head of the golfer.

MJG - At this stage of my life it is bogey golf because, like your friend, I can’t hit the ball far enough anymore. Hard to accept because for many many years I carried a single digit handicap.
Good days are now mid-to-high 80s with an occasional 83-84, other days low 90s. The good days are the days when I’m just patient and the short game is on. The other days is when I make bad mental decisions.
Our club champion gave me a wonderful compliment several years ago: “You know your game better than any other member here knows his game.” It is fun when the guys that can hit the ball 100+ yds longer than I can are still searching for their tee shot long after I’ve hit both my tee shot and my second shot right down the middle.
I used to be happy shooting a round in the 80’s (less than 18 over is “under par” for me). Now I’m happy to get in two rounds a month. So breaking 100 is satisfying. I’m now old enough for the senior tour and the toughest part is transitioning to my new abilities. The best thing about golf is the handicap concept. It levels the field. I play with the same guys, so when we decide to be competitive, we can make it fair.
My Dad has shot his age almost 300 times (on Tillanghast greens no less) Illy. There's always something to play for and room to get better.I’ve kidded with my head pro for about two years now that I’m gonna take my club’s official scorecard to Kinko’s and have them print up 100 scorecards for me, identical with the only difference turning the par 3s into 4s, the 4s into 5s and the 5s into 6s. Instead of 35-37=72, it’ll be 44-46=90.
I’m sure there’s a Yogism lurking nearby!

I think I agree entirely with that observation - I’ve never seen that combination. The putterIt’s not the head of the golf club, it’s the head of the golfer.
