Thank you for sharing this! I remember all of those title runs like yesterday. Cael wrestled such a frantic pace and so high risk everyone was always nervous for him. It is amazing to me how many of his guys over the years have been huge risk takers on the mat. Nolf and Bo both have much of the same makeup that made Cael so fun to watch. We always thought it was crazy how conservative Varner wrestled because he was so tight with Cael.
I guess I appreciate both styles as I age. I don't know if the old ticker could hold up if the entire team wrestled that high risk style. I think I need the controlling tie physical wrestler to watch to calm the nerves. My brother and I were watching Bo wrestle in a dual meet on tv and I said "Cael probably just laughs when he does that" in reference to some high flying risky counter and my brother said "I bet Varner wants to kill him." It made us both laugh. Perfect chemistry between those 2 Olympic Champions.
