For people who have made payments for at 10 least years. AND
Originally took out less than $12,000
so if you took out a loan for $12,000 that is $1,200 per year or $100 per month.
It then says 153,000 eligible students at a total of $1.2 billio
That ends up being $7,800
If you subtract 12,000 [max loan]-$7,800[balance forgiven] = $4,200 divided by 120 months = says average payment of $35 per month at the max. So these folks who have paid the equivalent of 1 latte a week at Starbucks getting their loan forgiven. Seriously folks, how can anyone think our leaders give a hoot about our debt.
