I posted this years ago, and again just a few months ago relative to Springfield. The Feds were paying local communities to take in illegal aliens. My community was approached and refused. Then they were warned that not only wouldn't they get the money, but forget any fed grants. they still refused.
Others didn't. And that is why FEMA has no more money to take care of Americans that paid into the Federal govt for decades. It is also why Gov Dewine, of Ohio, is trying to defuse it. Dewine, who I like, had no idea that taking in so many illegals would cause problems. Now, he is trying to thread the needle and not get blamed for Springfield and other atrocities. yet, he did call in ohio govt resources and allocate another $2.5m to get Springfield under control while not taking any blame.
