Davison community celebrates ‘remarkable feat’ by state wrestling champions

Families and fans lined the road to celebrate the Davison wrestling team as the wrestlers were welcomed in a parade on Monday, April 12 between Thompson Elementary School and Davison High School.

I lived in Davison for a couple years when I first moved to Michigan right after graduating from PSU in 1990. It is a nice quality suburb of Flint.
They take their wrestling (and football) seriously.

If I remember right they were good even back in the 70's when I as in High school. We had a pretty good wrestling program at Stevensville Lakeshore. Our coach is number 5 nationally in wins. I think they would wrestle against each other and our school never won.

I know for a fact back in the day Davison and Rockford would fight it out for Division 1 wrestling championships and Davision seem to come out on top most of the time.
