Given that the next Speaker will need 218 votes and most represenattives will vote for someone from their own party we may never have another Speaker. there are now 3 announced candidates and a group of about 35 - 50 angry hard line tea party types in the GOP caucus. That's enough votes to block any candidate if they vote as a block.
My guess is the next Speaker will be someone not yet in the running.
