Every night of my vacation, I stared at the heavens and wondered if you were looking at the same stars as me, wondering where I was, what I was doing, how my vacation was going. Thanks so much for your love and support, it's that undying dedication that keeps me going every day.
You didn't notice I was gone? Hurtful, guys. Hurtful.
So here's the deal. It's Saturday, there are blue skies in New York, and I left paradise for a Penn State men's basketball game at the Garden. Who's coming? Have yourself a Bloody Mary or whatever it is you drink on the last Saturday morning in January, and get it together - tip is at noon.
I'm not entirely convinced this is a team that will be ready to beat Michigan today. Losing Reaves hurt, I don't even know if Shep will go with his bum ankle after the OSU game, Banks has a bad back, Donovon has been dinged up. I don't even know what other maladies might be out there after the week away, but needless to say, this is a team that can't really afford a bunch - or even a few - injuries that prevent full-on performances at this point in the season and still expect to beat Michigan.
In any case, for those of you in the New York area or have made the trip, see you at the Garden. For those who don't or didn't, game is on BTN. And for those who don't care - at worst, you can't argue that the scheduling isn't inventive/creative/cool. Nice initiative by Penn State to do this, and something I'm hoping becomes a habit of some sort. Important to have a good turnout today for that to happen, I think.
