Yes he suffered from trauma by blitz last year. forcing him into self-fumbles, throwing a lot of bad balls, and too many INTs. Dealaing with a new OC and QB coach, a slew of young out of synch WRs, poor blocking by RBs and TEs, and a new OL, he had a so-so completion %age. His temper boiled over as his confidence eroded from the beat-down - big time. It was a season that could ruin even the best, by damaging his mind and body, permanently. Those are long odds to overcome.

So what's new in 2015?

I believe Hack's ultimate success will be measured in turnovers. Everything else should resolve itself.
If he can exceed 2:1, maybe 3:1 TD-INTs ( but that's a stretch) it will be a good year, perhaps bordering on great.

But can he still do it? Can he escape the demons of last year?

Take a look at the poise this young man shows on TV and with the general media. Maybe a better word is "exudes." I see a physically developed QB who already looks like a pro, but more importantly, I see a person who IS a leader by example, who has suffered huge amounts of adversity, ...and is still standing. Still here, in HV. Still wanting to improve. And practicing like it.

I also see determination in spades. A guy ready for the challenges ahead, ready to give his all, ready to play ball. A guy who reportedly practices as hard or harder than anyone to improve his craft, to get on the same page as his coaches, to learn and understand his support group of WRs, TE's, RB's, and OLmen.

On a team of young'uns ( as they say in WPA), he is ready to stand up and lead by example. And this team will need that example to follow when things get rough. So it will again boil down to QB turnovers that determine our ultimate success in 2015. Minimize them, and we could be in store for an amazing year, one in which a future star in waiting finally makes his dream come true. And we are all with him for the ride.

Until then, most talking heads are hedging, taking a step back, questioning if he is as good as his potential, wondering if he can produce on the big stage. Meanwhile closer to home, more and more people see the exceptional qualities this young man possesses, see his talent, hard work and impressive character - and are pretty sure they know what the answer to that question will be.

Pretty soon we will all know.
