Looking at the schedule, we should be 6-0 come Ohio State...and in those 6 games Hack should be able to put up some crazy numbers. Four of those teams are in the bottom of the basement in rankings. What's a reasonable number for yards/TD's to expect from him this year? I think close to 4,000 yards and 30 TDs isn't out of reach by any means...he could have 1,600+ and 15+ TDs in those first 6 games. Could be the statistically year people have been expecting

Could be.....but on the flip side:

We could also see either of these scenarios play out:

1 - The OL is a disaster, especially in pass protection, and Hackenberg is running for his life or "chucking and ducking" on 2/3 of his pass attempts (or, God forbid, he gets banged up and misses time)
or
2 - Things go "OK" with the offense early on, and the staff uses the first six games to run, run, run as much as possible to build up some continuity and success for the run game.

But....who knows. We start to find out in September.
