Hack on Jim Rome Show

Never been a big Jim Rome fan but that was a great interview. Good questions and Christian just continues to impress. I sure am glad he's wearing blue and white. I think he's going to have a really big year.

He is wise beyond his years. His parents did an amazing job.

Oh, you mean our quarterback. I thought the hack was Jim Rome.:)

Jim Rome is one of the better guys on the radio. I know the kind of nonsense he's pulled in the past, but that was 20 years ago. He's been a really fair guy for years now. I listen to him often and I'm really critical of radio guys. His show is really formulaic, but he does it well. And he always, and I mean ALWAYS, does good interviews. I liken him to the Howard Stern of sports radio. He asks really good questions. The one thing Jim Rome has become is a refined pro at radio.

I think this team is 1 more year away from really ,really being good! Replace Mangiro and Carter on offense and Zettel, Lucas, and Williams on defense, maybe Johnson. I might think about staying.

I have to admit, I haven't listed in many years, so I'll accept your opinion and maybe even give a listen soon.

I wouldn't fault him for leaving. But, to hear him express so much love for PSU makes me think he could be thinking that if he comes back, next year could be a very special senior year.

I'd recommend giving him another try. I mean, his show is not dynamic. It's pretty cookie cutter in that it has a formula, it sticks to it, and it churns out shows. The good thing is that its good, and consistent. So while this might be true, it's also a well oiled machine in it's consistency. That means a good show every day. He doesn't ask the obvious softball question and he considers other points of view on controversial issues.

I agree. He is a really good interviewer. I don't like his tv stuff but he works on radio.
Hack is getting some good preseason pub. A guy at work (in Oregon) asked me about him today and this guy isn't a big football fan

Great interview....well done Hack. And I thought Jim Rome did nice job and said some really nice things. If Hack were a stock, Jim Rome would stock up. Very cool quote. We are.....

Definitely a great interview. Hackenberg is very impressive. I love hearing him talk about "what Penn State stands for" and "culture".
