Hall's attempted whizer tilt in the finals has anyone seen one of those work?

I've watched him set up this "tilt" a number of times, he appears to be holding BoJo's arm in a sort of two in one that includes Bo's near leg. It's tight enough to work has anyone seen of these pulled off. Also kudos to Casey C for prepping Wreck with a new rabbit in both his rematch with ok st and Bo.

Zack Beitz used it.

On a HS level, that move won Jan Johnson his first state title.

Didn't Mark McKnight hit one in the consi semis against the Iowa kid to get two and a set of near fall his senior year at NCAAs

Cody Yohn was pretty effective with it his senior year on way to an AA finish. I have seen Stroker use it effectively as well.

Thanks I'd love to see some film of the finish it would have been a show stopper to pull that off on the big stage.
Actually the one you want to see is the one Thomas Haines hit at Super 32 -- did it from standing position. As a 220.

Flo has the video, though not sure if they paywalled it when they upgraded their website.

Wow that is a sweet move when it works and it looks like a classic Mark Hall magic trick. Too bad Bo is so freaking strong.

I actually think Jordan and Valencia are the only two on earth that the move would not have worked on. Marky had it locked in good, and he DAMN NEAR hit it. Another year, a bit bigger and stronger, I think his arsenal opens up slightly, even against the Greek god Jordan.

Forget what the move is called, but one of the best defenses to a whizzer is to let your whizzered-arm ride-up off the leg so it is across the back and reach across the guy's neck with your free arm and lock your hands under his far arm. If you can look it up, it is almost a certain pin as the combo isolates the head high once you turn (i.e., pancake) them and it is extremely "tight" in holding the shoulders down.

I saw Jordan Oliver hit this on Nick Fanthorpe I believe at the Big 12 tournament in Norman, Oklahoma several years ago. 5 big points turned an otherwise close match lop sided.

Anybody know what this counter to a whizzer is called?

Speaking of slick moves.... does that counter Gabe Dean used to roll Bo to his back briefly in the 3rd period have a name?
