Just saw coverage of this event. Wow.
The comments from the protestors were unbelievable. These deranged fools think its all about honoring Venezuela's democratically elected President. Apparently, Trump and the warmongering right-wing are so blood thirsty that they can't wait to sacrifice Venezuelan and (with some very minor concern) American lives just to put our puppet in place there. It's all about oil and PROFITS, btw.
If Trump had been POTUS in 1942 and condemned Hitler and the Nazis, these TDS people would have been marching down the Mall the very next day wearing fake mustaches, SS uniforms and swastika arm bands. Honestly, there is no odd-ball or anti-American cause they won't automatically embrace if they think it's their duty as part of the Resistance.
The funniest comments came from the counter-protestors, many of whom were Venezuelans who had fled the Maduro regime. They concisely listed all the horrible things taking place in Venezuela at the hands of the socialists/commies. But, the capper was when on woman looked at the protestors and snorted. "They can't even speak Spanish". Ha, that was beautiful....
