Harbaugh remind you of some other Big 10 coach trying to take

Poach 6 players. I hope the rest of the team approves. Would be kinda hard to win with Six 5 stars and a bunch of walk ons if the team revolts. Wich I think they should, it's one thing bringing in a player at a position of need but 6? Might be 7. He recruited the current team....what a slap in the face.

Wish I could save this quote for when people ask why Michigan is so hated. Haven't finished higher than 3rd in the division under Harbaugh even though they've already had top talent, unranked to finish this year, yet somehow they're going to be considered a top 5 team to start next year.

"Should Michigan land these 7 players, one college football source we spoke to said frankly "this would be the biggest influx of experienced talent into a college football program in history. With that defense, Michigan would be a sure-fire top 5 team and Big Ten favorite next season"."

It makes you wonder if Jimmy is in it for the long haul at Michigan. Maybe he doesn't care how the players that he previously recruited feel about this, because he won't have to deal with the fallout for very long.

A douche move like this could also backfire in several ways.

This could work. But from a team chemistry POV, bringing in anything more than 1-2 transfers strikes me as a high-reward/high-risk move. Non-negligible chance it blows things up.

As with many things: time will tell.

and...big gamble because if this happens...and Michigan ranked so high before season begins...he will HAVE to win...nothing less than a Championship...is a failure...it gets cooooooold in Ann Arbor in November Ole Miss players...very coooooold.....

It's particularly terrible messaging to the young QBs they've recruited, and are now ostensibly stuck there unless they want to transfer and sit out a year. Combine this with the dirty recruiting, and he's a huge scumbag.

But what about all those other 4 and 5* quality recruits that signed on to play for Michigan before the Harbarugh started raiding Ole Miss?
I meant this must be the 3rd or 4th year that he brought in a transfer QB. I guess we'll be seeing Brandon Peters and the McCaffrey kid looking to get out of dodge.
Geez with all that new "talent" maybe Jimmah can do better than 3rd place in the east.

no, not the 3rd or 4th but rather the second year. Rudock and O'Korn came in same year but O'Korn had to sit out because he wasn't a grad transfer at the time.

let's see if you're still talking on 11/4/18 when Jim's record vs PSU will be 3-1

lol. Never mind that Shea Patterson was raised in nearby Toledo and grew up a UM fan and that Van Jefferson's second choice behind Ole Miss was Michigan. Good grief. Do you all ever get tired of obsessing over Harbaugh?
When we do, we talk about Pitt.

What happened to only seniors being able to transfer and not have to sit a year??? What a bunch of BS!!! NCAA is such a backwards inept organization!!! When will the member schools finally say enough is enough and disband it...the only organization that is worse if FIFA!!!

Bear with me, I don't understand the system too well. But which class? Are all incoming players considered part of the same class per the 25 man limit? Or is their class determined by how many years they have remaining eligibility? I realize that the total for all classes must stay under 85.

where are all the schollies coming from? He is going to have to cut some current players and pull some current verbals.

Actually Penn State may have a shot in that game because Jimmy will be resting his starters for the bowl game after having third place in the division wrapped up.

Well, when the NCAA hands down sanctions they certainly seem more focused on punishing the subject institution than maintaining sportsmanship and competitive balance.

Assume their analysis of finding room for 7 additional players in their scholarship allotment would include managing the entire group. Their problem. We could hypothesize on that one for hours.

Do these recruits / transfers get another chance at talking with more deep pocket alums, and do they have to give back their previous considerations they received in whole or on a pro-rated basis?

Does he sleep with each individually or will it be a pajama party.

Wonder if Jimmy used has famed sleepover to recruit these boys or perhaps he climbed a tree in the front of a recruits home or maybe he put on a diving show for the kids. JH = Freak

For what it’s worth, UM is unlikely to add more than 3 Ole Miss players (Patterson, Jefferson and Anderson).

Pretty sure he brought the plans for the treehouse and they all built it together like one big happy family.

Anything is possible but you need to improve your reading comprehension a bit. My comment was not a slight at Michigan saying PSU is better, but the general annoyance many fans feel when every year Michigan is ranked near the top simply because Harbaugh. I mean coming off an 8-4 unranked season whoever was interviewed for this article says they'll be a top 5 team? I'll give you top 15, maybe top 10 b/c of returning talent, but no way any rational person should be ranking Michigan top 5 to start the year next year. However because of the Harbaugh effect the talking heads will continue to slobber all over his knob and do just that.

I am 100% certain you do not recognize the irony of coming to a PSU board and talking about obsessing over another team or coach!

And please don't embarrass yourself further by claiming you just came to set the record straight. You had to be here before you could know about it.

Unfortunately it doesn’t matter how good Michigan is. They have little problems called Urban Meyer and Mark Dantonio which means they will continue watching The B1G championship game from Ann Arbor. FYI for those counting what really matters.....

Big Ten championships
James Franklin 1
Jimmy Harbaugh 0.

I hate to say this but I think adding Van Jefferson and Patterson might make UM a top 5 team in terms of talent. Their major weakness last year on offense was the OL, QB and WR play. Those two players provide immediate upgrades at positions of need. The problem as I see it is that they would still be less talented than O$U, they play Notre Dame early on the road next year and their coach is probably the fourth best coach in their division when it comes to maximizing talent.
