yards after catch...bc no corner on this team has any idea how to tackle.

over / under on missed tackles by the corners ....has to be 10

The secondary is not afraid to hit but they sure as heck can not tackle. This is a major problem. Reid doesn't know how to tackle. He wiffs all the time. Allen likes to hit the ball carrier, slide down the carriers body and leg and then hold on to his foot for dear life. It's just maddening.

The Michgan coaches liked that little game of 2 on 2 and exploited the fact that PSU's corners were playing so far off the ball. They were going to get 5 yards on the play even if the DB made the immediate tackle. Reid and especially Haley had a tough time on that play.

Bring back Ray Isom for a tutorial. He was in the same size range as Reid and Haley, but hit like a ton.

The young guys need to be stronger, but it looks mostly like a technique and concentration issue.

Heads looking down, reaching with their arms, totally whiffing, worst secondary tackling ever.
Hey Hazleton Lion, were you in the Hazleton area in the late 60's. I'm researching a small catholic school, Hazleton Saint Gabriel's, that won three catholic state basketball titles during that time frame.

Yes i was , fantastic team you're talking about,Digger Phelps coached there, Paul Hoffman went on
to St.Bonaventure, a final 4 team in 1970,he was outstanding, to say the least.

Well I'm looking at a number of years 65-70. I know Phelps was there for the first championship. Since you were there did you see them play during that time period? Would you say they had a local following?

No, worst display of tackling by a secondary I've seen in a long time.
They all leave their feet and are left flopping to the ground instead of driving through the runner. Coaching could improve this area. The players are in position, they just can't tackle very well.
