Hate to admit it

But the SEC has re-established themselves as the best conference based on the bowl results.

Look how they recruit. They should always be number one or at least in the conversation for best conference every year. It isn't that difficult to see why they are so good.

Iowa was a fraud and everyone knew it; MSU is settling back to where they belong; and Michigan and OSU thumped two historically good programs. With Penn State on the rise, things are back to where they typically are.

The SEC plays by a different set of rules. When you see a speed limit sign that says 55, many people drive at 65 because they know the police will typically not stop someone just 10 miles over the limit. Others will drive at 75+ because they are willing to take a chance they won't get caught. Most BigTen schools are in the group driving 65. Most SEC schools are in the group driving 75+. Teams from both conferences can reach their destination, the NCAA Championship. The BigTen schools, driving at 65, take longer, but they are not likely to get caught and penalized. The SEC schools will drive at 75 and take their chances.

Why was Iowa a fluke year? They got beat by a very talented Stanford team. MSU ran into an Alabama team that has more talent than a lot of pro teams. As far as PSU it's 2016 not the 1980's. heck things change over 30-35 years. In case you haven't noticed the southern teams are top dogs now.

Except based on Smails' post of Zeke Elliot's driving history, he was stopped doing 59 in a 55.

Just saying.

Because of their schedule. In the regular season they didn't play any ranked teams. The two ranked teams they faced they lost games to. They benefitted from a weak B1G west.

Does the NCAA actually have ANY rules? The only one I am aware of is "keep the cash coming in rule" !!!
