Herbie at it again

Saw it. Hernia blasting our non conference schedule and said the committee should take that into consideration in December. Galloway and Davis disagreed

And - his one-loss team with the best chance to make playoffs - you guessed it. His alma mater.

I learned all I need to know about him last year. Initially he comes off as being objective, but the guy is a homer and a Penn State hater. You could just see the anger on his face and in his voice last year when he thought there was a chance that Penn State might get in over Ohio State. If they come for Gameday, I hope the crowd let's that crew have it big time.

If Alabama, Clemson, Washington, Oklahoma and Ohio State all win out, Ohio State is on the outside looking in. No way you could take Ohio State over Oklahoma after losing to them by 15 at home. Yeah the Iowa St lose is ugly, but both with one lose, head to head wins.

As others have stated here before I believe Herbie is fearful of the resurgent PSU because PSU is a threat to his beloved bucknuts. He's seeing it on the field and now in recruiting.

Just go back and look at herbs glowing review of PSU in recent years since we are being objective. Like last yr vs OSU when he lied and said 1/2 the student section was gone. This is 2 weeks after saying PSU was thee story in CFB. He's a Dick

Clearly he is evil

Did Herbstreit, Fowler, or anyone at ESPN ever comment on the strangeness of KH's commentary during Haley's TD return against OSU -- long awkward silence followed by overt sadness juxtaposed with an enthused CF and rocking atmosphere? I always gave him the benefit of the doubt for objectivity until then.

I like Herbie but he definitely has a hard on for when it comes to PSU’s failure.
I used to like him, he changed.

Win and it doesn't matter who says what.

You've been around long enough to know this isn't true. Remember 1994. When the OSU coach said in the preseason that anyone who runs through the Big10 undefeated should be national champs. Then changed the story after the season and said the conference was down. Before the Big10 it was our weak eastern schedule. Now it's our weak OOC schedule. What exactly is OSUs great OOC win?
The discussion is already being framed around which 1 loss team will get in. A much more likely scenario than having 4 undefeated teams is having two or three 1 loss teams battling for the last spot(s). The just win mantra should apply to all teams, not just certain teams.

Watching Herbie turn red during that segment was great. Wish Galloway got more screen time.

^^^THIS^^^ He must have croaked inside when we beat them last year, with the realization that that won't be the last time.

When are you people going to get it, Smith on the inside and Herbstreit on the outside. Who do you think runs college football? We will beat OSU in Columbus and they will still get in the playoff just watch!!

I really don't understand why folks get so bent out of shape over what he says (or any supposed analyst for that matter). It gives them exactly what they want.

Ok, enough publicity given to them by me now...

The team controls it's own destiny and that's all that matters.

Who cares about non-conference. If you can beat UM, OSU, MSU, and probably Wisc., that's more than impressive.
