Still up 1-0 after a GREAT 1st Period ... completely dominated, PSU outshooting 24-3, couple of posts (including an inside post). OSU goalie stood on his head a couple of times. All that said, missed opportunities are frustrating, could easily be 3-0 or 4-0.
Ohio State ties it 1-1 with 7 and a half left in the 2nd. PSU lost a lot of momentum so far, being out shot by OSU and no longer in control of the game.
VInce Pedrie jumps off the point and into the slot to get PSU out of the funk. 2-1 PSU, last 2 minutes of the second period.
Still 2-1 midway through the 3rd after an AMAZING save by our freshman goalie Peyton Jones. OSU outshooting us 7-0 in the 3rd period.
Alec MARSH in his first game back from injury! 3-2 PSU , 7 minutes left!!!!!
And OSU comes right back with 6 minutes left to score a power play goal and make it 3-3.

Somewhere I read that the game goes as a tie on the record even though they lost the shootout, is that true?
The shootout win only counts for the Big Ten standings. Per any NCAA comparisons (e.g. Pairwise, RPI), it is considered a tie.
Have to get to a goalie like Frey in 1st period. The more rubber thrown his way without cracking him, the more into the game he gets and harder it becomes.
Overall a solid effort but some critical mistakes cost us the points. Terrible backchecking on the 1st OSU goal and an undisciplined mistake by the captain to put OSU on the power play to tie the game late in 3rd.

We've been over this... the TV schedule is set before the season. They try to rotate so that all teams get roughly the same amount of exposure, given that it's a conference network. Obviously Michigan/MSU is generally a big in state rivalry, and the teams are good most years.
